If you’re looking for a free set of You’re Welcome Cards, the best way to win (currently) would be by blogging about us, because you’re not up against too much competition. We only had one entry during January, so that entry was our January winner. The entry came from Sarina on her blog The Summer Vacation That Needs to End. I can’t say that I have EVER had a summer vacation like that, but everyone is different.

After the news of the 7.0 earthquake in Haiti and the destruction that it has caused, You’re Welcome Cards founders have decided to donate $1 from each sale to the rescue and relief efforts in Haiti. We know and understand that $1 is not a lot, but every little bit helps, and we’re trying to do our part. If you’re unaware of what’s happening in Haiti, here’s a brief description taken from Yahoo! News:

PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti – Haitians piled bodies along the devastated streets of their capital Wednesday after a powerful earthquake flattened the president’s palace, the cathedral, hospitals, schools, the main prison and whole neighborhoods. Officials feared thousands — perhaps more than 100,000 — may have perished but there was no firm count.

Each sale made from today through January 30th, 2010 will have $1 donated toward the relief efforts in Haiti.

As you all may (or may not) know, we are constantly running giveaways and promotions on our site where we try to giveaway our promo packs that feature a few samples of each of our cards. Most of our contests and giveaways are social network based (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) so we’ve decided to open up another contest for those of you who REALLY want to WIN some You’re Welcome Cards. All you need is a blog!

We’ve decided to offer this new way to win so that you have a better chance, rather than competing against our 100’s of fans and followers, you’ll only be competing against a VERY limited number of users who post blog entries about You’re Welcome Cards each month.

The You’re Welcome Cards Blogging Contest will work as follows

We’ll randomly select 1 winner every month, starting in December 2009
If we don’t receive any submissions in a given month, we’ll select a winner from a previous months submission

Holiday Stocking Stuffer Gift Ideas

Oftentimes, we focus on the big gifts during the holiday season, and don’t place too much importance on the smaller gifts. The thoughtful ones that can make people laugh and smile. Here’s an idea for you this Holiday season. Put some You’re Welcome Cards into your loved ones stockings this year. My favorite card to send out after the Holiday season is this one:

This is our first You’re Welcome Card design and the inside simply reads “Just to one-up your Thank You!” I love sending this card to the people who actually send me Thank You cards, though it seems like fewer and fewer people every year send out thank you cards.
